Our core expertise lies in well design and the operation of drilling rigs for geothermal energy and lithium mining.

To strengthen our team at our Karlsruhe office location, we are looking for a full‑time (40 hours/week), permanent Drilling & Well QAQC Supervisor (m/f/d).

Your mission

Coordinate QAQC activities closely with the QAQC Lead and provide clear, timely feedback across rig, drilling, completion, and intervention operations
Demonstrate visible leadership in quality management and foster a strong QAQC culture among all service providers
Ensure Service Quality Plans (SQPs) are implemented in line with contractual requirements
Plan and coordinate service inspections at contractor sites based on SQPs, in alignment with the contractor
Ensure all equipment is properly prepared and supported by valid certifications and records
Establish a D&W QAQC release process before rig mobilization to confirm equipment readiness, including a final release note
Maintain and update the inspection reporting system with inspection reports, release notes, and relevant technical or proprietary information
Issue non-conformance and technical incident reports for products or services when required
Support and provide expertise in investigations of service or equipment failures

Your profile

At least 10 years of QAQC experience in drilling activities
Adequate knowledge of general drilling and completions, including welltesting and interventions equipment
Good knowledge of rig operations
Lead Auditor certification in ISO9001/APIQ1
Practitioner certification for APIQ2
Sound knowledge of DS1, NS2 and API standards relevant to contractor equipment
Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
Strong analytical skills, organizational ability, and communication skills
Valid authorization to work in Germany
Willingness to travel (EU, UK, Norway)
Passion for innovative technologies and sustainable energy projects
Initiative, team spirit, and the motivation to take responsibility and actively help shape the energy transition

Vulcan Energy baut eine kombinierte Produktion von Lithium und geothermischer, erneuerbarer Energie in Europa auf, um die Batterieproduktion zu dekarbonisieren. Vulcans Lionheart-Projekt, welches sich im Oberrheingraben an der Grenze zwischen Deutschland und Frankreich befindet, dient dem Aufbau einer europäischen Lieferkette für Batterierohstoffe sowie zur Sicherung der europäischen Energiewende durch die Produktion von erneuerbarer geothermischer Energie.
Mit Hilfe von Vulcans branchenführender VULSORB®-Technologie wird Lithium aus der Thermalsole des Oberrheingrabens gewonnen. Durch die natürlich erhitzte Sole wird außerdem erneuerbare Energie erzeugt, welche für den Produktions- und Verarbeitungsprozess zu batteriefertigem Lithiumhydroxid-Monohydrat genutzt wird. Überschüssige Energie wird in das lokale Netz eingespeist.
Lithiumextraktion ist nur der Anfang für Vulcan. Das Unternehmen denkt die Rohstoffproduktion grundlegend neu und nutzt innovative Ansätze, um größere Teile entlang der Wertschöpfungskette zu integrieren. Vulcan hat das Gesamtfinanzierungspaket für das Lionheart-Projekt abgeschlossen, mit dem Bau begonnen und Abnahmeverträge abgeschlossen. Weitere Phasen der Produktion, darunter auch das Projekt Ludwig, befinden sich bereits in Planung.
