We are looking for you to join our growing team in Karlsruhe as a full-time (40 hours per week) as Senior Operations Geologist (m/f/d).
Your mission
  • You contribute to geological offset well studies and support the full well planning process within the Reservoir Development and Well Delivery teams. 
  • You prepare and refine geological well planning documents, including Statements of Requirements (SOR) and Geological Evaluation Programs. 
  • You support the tendering process for formation evaluation services, ensuring technical quality and alignment with operational needs. 
  • You supervise mudlogging and formation logging services onsite, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient execution. 
  • You contribute to daily reporting, log charts, and End of Well Reports (EOWR) to support transparent communication and documentation. 
  • You mentor and guide the subsurface team on onsite operations, formation evaluation, and best practices. 
  • You ensure high‑quality data through diligent QA/QC and data management, providing timely and reliable information to all stakeholders and supporting compliance with management systems. 
Your profile
  • You hold a university degree in Geosciences or a comparable field. 
  • You bring onsite operational experience as a Wellsite or Operational Geologist in complex drilling operations. 
  • You have proven experience performing operational QA/QC on wellsite and formation evaluation tools as well as on surveyed data. 
  • You are a confident user of dedicated software for displaying and interpreting well and well‑log data. 
  • You demonstrate a high awareness of and strong commitment to HSE compliance. 
  • You provide active on‑site geological support during drilling and critical operational milestones. 
  • You are a team player with strong communication skills to support effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
